True Blood

Based on the “Sookie Stackhouse” book series (also known as The Southern Vampire Mysteries) by Charlaine Harris, created and produced by Alan Ball, True Blood is a vampire drama both scary and sexy which takes you in an intriguing world wherein vampires and humans coexist. On the strength of a Japanese scientist who invented the synthetic blood, vampires developed from legendary monsters into fellow citizens. Although human creatures have been apparently taken out of the main course, a lot of people still fear the creatures that burst out of the grave. While government officials and religious leaders chose their sides, in Bon Temps, a small northern Louisiana town, things are in balance.

The series revolves around Sookie Stackhouse, a waitress who, sad to say, knows very well how it feels to be a castaway she was cursed to read people’s minds. Sookie is open-minded about the coexistence of vampires and humans in Bon Temps, especially when it comes to Bill Compton, a handsome 173 year old boy living “next door”. Her tolerance will be put to the test when she will be lost into a series of mysteries surrounding Bill’s arrival in town. Characterized by the Emmy winning Ball as “popcorn for smart people”, the series will take you on a bloody and wild ride
